John Clements served as a soldier in King Philip's War, in 1676. He took the oath of Allegiance at Haverhill, in 1677.
John Clements of Haverhill, conveys, to father-in-law Robert Ayer of Haverhill, for £ 200, his house, barn, and cider mill, with all his ox-common, part of which he bought of Robert Swan, Sr., and all lands in Haverhill and income of the same, 2 Mar. 1691-2.
(Ipswich Deeds, 5: 472.)
As John Clements died within a few months of this transfer of property, it seems probable that the land was in trust for the benefit of his wife and children. MORE TO COME LATER.
