Job Clements, though a copper by trade, dealt largely in lands. From 1703 until 1730, a period of twenty-seven years, he either bought or sold land nearly every year. The deeds however little interest except in the following case. MORE TO COME.
In 1711, Job Clements, with others, signed a petition asking the town of Haverhill to build a new schoolhouse near his dwelling place, at the North western part of town, in order that he and his neighbors might "have the benefit of having their children brought up to learning, as well as the children of those who live in the center of town."
