BOWDOIN-- Wayne H. Towle, 32, formerly of Lewis Hill Road, died Sunday,
Sept. 10, 1995, in Queens, N.Y., after the undertow from a wave pulled him out
from shore while he was swimming.
He was born June 9, 1963, in Gardiner, the son of William C. and Janice
Gowell Towle Sr. He attended Bowdoin Center schools and Mt. Ararat School.
For the past nine years, he had been living in New York, he was employed
by the Salvation Army and most recently by R.W.Kern Inc. Property Managers.
He was a chalk artist.
He is survived by his mother of Bowdoin; his maternal grandmother, Edith
I. Gowell of Bowdoin; three brothers, William C. Towle Jr. of Dresden, Wendall
C. Towle of Bowdoin, and Wade C. Towle of Portland; two nephews; a nieces; and
several aunts and uncles.
